The gentle ascent takes you to Miriakamba Hut, nestled in the forest, where you can relax, savor

After breakfast, ascend through higher montane forest and bamboo zones, gradually
transitioning into the dramatic moorlands and volcanic slopes of Mount Meru. The trail reveals
stunning views of the crater, the surrounding valleys, and wildlife along the way. Pause for
lunch amid giant lobelias and groundsels, and continue to the Saddle Hut, perched between the
main summit and Little Meru. Spend the afternoon exploring the volcanic features, capturing

Begin the trek around midnight for the final push to the Fertile Crater Summit (4,562 m),
