The Lemosho Route is one of the most scenic and successful ways to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, offering
a quiet start, excellent acclimatization, and breathtaking landscapes. Beginning in Arusha, the trek
approaches the mountain from the remote western side, crossing pristine rainforest, wide Shira Plateau,
dramatic valleys, and alpine desert before the unforgettable summit ascent to Uhuru Peak (5,895m) at
sunrise. With a gradual ascent and well-spaced camps, this route maximizes comfort and summit success
before descending through lush rainforest to Mweka Gate and returning to Arusha for departure.
